Here is a high quality giclee print taken from my original oil painting of my vizsla painting, "Chutney." ." This fine art, giclee, canvas print is ready to hang and measures 8 x 10 inches. About me. I am an artist who loves to paint whimsical, smile making pictures. My paintings have been selling worldwide since 2008. I have recently started setting up my eBay store. I have so much more to show you so I would love you to follow me for updates. Canvas prints. Our giclee canvas prints are ready to hang. You do not need to frame them. They are printed onto our gorgeous, high quality cotton canvas. (We ONLY use top quality canvas.) The canvas is then stretched around wooden stretcher bars. The canvas is extended around the edge of the bars. This "frameless" way of presenting the picture makes it look as if it is floating on the wall. Our wooden bars have a thickness of 2cm, which means that your canvas prints will protrude 2cm from the wall. These are our favourite type of stretcher bars as they achieve that lovely contemporary feel without making the picture look or feel too heavy. Our canvas pictures are then finished with a subtle varnish which enhances the colour and protects the print. The process of making our canvas prints takes two days from start to finish. What is giclee? Giclee (pronounced je-clay) is a type of very high quality printing ink. Giclee comes from the French word "gicler" meaning "to squirt." The lightfast inks, which are acid free and lightfast, are sprayed onto the canvas. It is believed that this process achieves the closest match technically possible to the original piece of artwork. Giclee prints use inkjet technology and are far more sophisticated than your normal desktop printer. Giclee prints are known for their longevity and are the choice of art galleries, museums and collectors. When you buy an expensive print from an art gallery, it is highly likely that you will be buying a giclee print. I have my own little professional team producing my prints which is why we are able to keep our costs low. Postage. If you make multiple purchases, we will combine postage. Please note that we post Monday to Friday but not on weekends. This is not us being lazy. It's just that we don't like our pictures to sit for too long in the postal system. Returns .
