Antique Faience Pottery Plate Bird Of paradise By Nimy-Mouzin 1880-90’s


Beautiful antique Majolica Pottery plate c1880-90 by Nimy-Mouzin aka Mouzin Lecat of Wasmuel, Belgium. Lovely tin glaze coloration. In addition to the gorgeous bird the plate also has palm trees, florals and cherries w a turquoise background and deep navy rim.


The plate measures 8 1/4" wide.


Please note the following defects: small chips to paint and plate on rim. Crack that goes through your the back of the plate. Wear on the rim of the plate. Significant crazing—-on the front is a bit lighter and fairly well hidden by the design and colors. The back of the plate shows heavy crazing with heavy discoloration.
