A beautiful, fine and unusual antique French desk clock comprising of ormolu bronze and marble, dating to the 19th century, circa 1890.
The clock features a white Carrara marble base issuing a classical style column decorated with an engine turned ormolu collar to the base and mounted with a capital supporting the clocks drum case. The white enamel dial with black hand painted Arabic numerals and outer chapter indicating minute marks. The whole surmounted by a bronze eagle in flight and raised on for bracket feet. The dial is protected by a thick bevelled glass door with engine turned ormolu bezel.
This fine desk clock features an 8 day single train mechanical movement with integrated pendulum and retains its winding key.
The pieces comes complete with its winding key.

Condition:
Overall, the clock is in good working condition. The marble is in good condition without any chips and the ormolu/ bronze retain a good colour.
The mechanism has recently been cleaned and serviced. Please note, whilst the clock currently works, during transport, all clocks are moved around a lot, and therefore, they may require setting up upon receiving them as well as the possibility of requiring professional assistance or a service as they can get 'stuck'.
