C1905 Quite Superb & Beautifully Carved Black Forest Owl Form Tobacco Jar / Pot.
WELCOME TO MY LISTING OF THIS,
EXTREMELY WELL CARVED BLACK FOREST OWL FORM TOBACCO JAR / POT Circa 1905 AND MORE UNUSUALLY FROM THE FRENCH SIDE OF THE BLACK FOREST.

Like we mentioned,it's beautifully carved and a little larger than similar models we have seen over nearly 34 years of trading and is a real statement piece because of it's size.
It measures, 35 cm tall by, 27 cm wide and 17 cm deep and has the most stunning glass eyes,it's almost like they follow you around the room and with it's age of around 117 years it's picked up a few very small nibbles here and there,but certainly nothing that is immediately obvious and certainly no more than you should reasonably expect to see for a piece of it's age and type.
It's condition should be classed as very good!
All in all a very desirable and collectable piece of Black Forest ware and is priced to sell,we see these large pieces on occasion sell for ridiculously high prices,anything from £2000 - £4000,so like we said,it's priced to sell.
