The surface of the vase is finely decorated in underglaze blue with bird shaped panels of different sizes containing floral designs each surrounded by a multitude of berries and flowers. The shoulders feature a textured moulded porcelain cloth covering held in place with a tied rope.The base of the bowl, with unglazed foot rim, is unsigned but clearly made by a skilled artisan.
