Vintage kitchenalia scuttle shaped sugar cube bowl and trowel AF 11282

As found. Please see full description and photographs (above and below). A vintage plated scuttle shaped sugar cube bowl with trowel shaped scoop (see later), both believed to be EPNS although it is not marked as such. There is a makers mark just under the lip of the bowl, which is the mark for Pinder Bros Ltd, and the word England. There are two attachments to the main body, the upper one being a handle, and the lower one being a holder for the scoop. The main body of the bowl is relatively plain save for the beading/plaiting along the rim, handle and base, and the floral and foliate design adjacent to the handle. The trowel is plain but with a shaped handle. We are not sure whether the trowel is the original. There is some tarnishing and wear to both the scuttle both inside and out and to the trowel, which we have tried to show in the photographs. Otherwise, the scuttle and trowel are structurally sound. The bowl measures approximately 4.75in from the lip of the bowl to tip to the scoop holder on the opposing side. It stands about 4.5in high to the top of the handle. Together they weigh just over 200g.
