The design is amazing with its stepped up base to the 4 bronze pillars holding the main structure in place. This is an amazing quality clock in its original bronze finish. The mantle clock has good quality fantastic details with bronze mounts and curved scrolls Extremely collectable and a spectacular loooking clock and limited edition only 1000 ever made. The dial is a bronzed chapter ring with black Roman numerals and black spade hands. Plaque on the dial with Harding & Bazeley cheltenham of england inscribed The movement is mounted with a Swiss 11 jewel lever platform escapement and the clock has 24 polished metal spheres to apply the driving force through gravity. It can however be spring driven – wound by the spokes of the main wheel – and will run for approx 9 days. If you load all failed balls back every morning then the clocks can be run long time without stop. The clock is spring driven so If you do not like when the balls come down and do a bit noise then you can take off all of the balls and can wound up the clock by hand with back wheels and this time the clock is running about 8-9 days.
