Vintage IDEN POTTERY Lamp Base

Description:

A superb, mid century Iden Pottery (near Rye, Sussex) earthenware lamp base, circa early 1960s. The main body is of cuboid form on a tapering conical base. Decorated with mottled brown glazes; matte to the conical base, with gloss fat lava style decoration to the main body. Perforated to the base for a cable. The auction is for the base only and does not include a lamp holder or shade.

Approx height: 32 cm. Approx weight: 1.6 kg

Condition:

I have looked closely and cannot see any damage, although minor frits are possible given the fat lava style decoration.
