DescriptionThis is a chance to own a scarce early original photographic stereoview dating to the 1880s/1890s. It was taken by Elias Frederick Evans Dunsterville, an English Colonial Administrator working for the Madras & Southern Mahratta Railways, who has left a fascinating pictorial record of local life and scenery. As an extremely competent photographer, he became President of the Madras Amateur Photographic Society (now the Photographic Society of Madras) and actively encouraged many eminent men to take up photography. This image is titled 'Tadpatri. Chentaroya Temple - Shrine'. This is one of a number of interesting photographic items on offer this month and would make an excellent addition to any collection. Please do look at my other items as I will combine postal charges - please wait for or request combined invoice before paying. Bid now to avoid disappointment.
