What a sweet little clock this is; a Smiths 8 day movement mantel or bedside time-piece that has been ticking away nicely for the last three hours since I gave it a couple of winds. No doubt though it could do with a jolly good clean and a bit of oil perhaps. The chrome case has survived really well and is really bright; there are some small scuffs and light scratches as you would expect but nothing to spoil. There is the lightest amount of wear to the plate on the bezel, down on the side by the 4 and 5 but nothing that draws the eye. There is also a very small chip to the glass on the bottom right corner. You can also see a little discolouration on the silvered number square; I don't know if this could be cleaned but I think it looks great the way it is; it shows it's age but carries it wonderfully well. The clock is 7.5cms square, the base is 12.5cms wide and it stands 10cms high.
