DOUBLE PICKLE STAND

 

 

A rather rare double silver plated pickle stand with a pair of matching covered pickle jars by James Dixon of Sheffield. The silver plated frame is raised on four orbical feet and sports a good robust carrying handle; the item is weighty when filled with the two jars. The jars are believed to be original to the piece. There are hooks for pickle forks to either side of the frame but the latter are no longer present.

 

The frame is in gleaming condition with only very minor signs of use in the form of some pale rather unobtrusive scattered dots otherwise it is generously covered. One of the pickle jars has some damage to the its collar. We have shown two images of same but they are both of the affected piece.
