Antique Victorian Travelling Vanity/Writing Rosewood and brass box. This Rosewood box is in good condition for its age. The corners have brass protectors on them. And there is brass plaque on the top. The base shows signs of use and one of the small glass bottles has broken and been glued back together. This can be clearly seen in the pictures above. The tops of the glass jars are silver platted. And in good condition. The oiher 4 glass jars are unmarked.  The top of the box includes a letter holder and mirror.  The jar holder comes out and reveals a storage area. The lock is not working as it had to be cut to open the book when the box was found. The box measures 27cms x 12.5cms. . It is a very good example of it kind.
