Seller: timerunner56 (883) 100%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 292691220284 Very Large Antique Dial Turret Or Tower Clock By T. Condliff.Very large antique dial Turret or Tower clock by T. Condliff. This very impressive clock has a weight driven movement by a top maker. Must be considered a rare find and has come from a very impressive building. The wooden surround looks like pine? and nicely constructed in sections. The bezel looks like iron and has a lovely weathered look created over many years but has no glass. The dial also has a antique weathered look which is very characterful, but could be repainted if required. The dial is signed 'T.Condliff' a well respected maker from the Liverpool area and comes with its nicely shaped dial hands. The hands are made of brass painted black, with the minute hand being counter weighted. The movement is very well made as you would expect from this maker from brass with steel work (steel work a little rusty which should clean up well). The winding arbor is a little bent on the back. The back has a small dial so that the time can be set from inside the tower. There are no weights or pendulum in this sale but here is a bar which connects the dial to the movement. The dial is around 24.5in in diameter including the wooden rim. It is extremely unusual to find one of these clocks for sale in any condition so sure to be of interest to all clock restorers. Sold as seen, incomplete and not working for restoration only with no returns.
