Seller: england-5 (3.089) 100%, Location: Nth Lincolnshire, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 273973344097 Please make use of the enlarge feature on the photos above to view this unusual little clock. I've had this clock for some time now, with the intention of doing something with it. Alas, work and time constraints have seen it sitting, untouched, waiting for its moment in the sun. I have spent numerous hours trying to research it....nothing. Over to you. The clock is housed in a pressed tin plate case with the frontage styled like a clock tower (much like a Zappler clock). The pendulum is viewed via the slotted area to the lower section. Up on the "roof" stands a hooded, hammer wielding fellow. When the hands are turned, he strikes the bell (hidden behind frontage) on the half and full hours. The piece stands on a simple pressed tin oval base. There are no markings on the outside, and as I mentioned, it has not been opened or messed with. I'm guessing it is continental simply due to the figures dress. It stands just 4 1/2 inches high. The clock is not working. the winder just winds with no take up of power. Other than that, it looks in good condition and complete. This was never "high quality" item, but is an interesting piece if you collect unusual timepieces, and as I cannot find another, very difficult to date. Plenty of photos for "those that know", or those that like a curiosity. Sold for restoration, not working.
