Seller: timerunner56 (874) 100%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 292527435676 Top Quality & Early Mahogany Double Fusee English Regency Bracket Clock A top quality double fusee English striking bracket clock in a good sleepy condition. This early clock's case has mahogany veneer which is of a nice quality. The condition is nice and original with a few small losses, splits, scratches etc and needs a good polish to bring out the 'flame' in the mahogany. The case has the original brass fishscale side frets and rings along with brass ball feet. The rear door has retained its lock but no key and does require a glass panel. The front bezel is present and nice and slim but slightly out of shape. I have managed to find a replacement convex glass panel for the front bezel. The dial is also convex and has a name on it which is difficult to read but I think it is 'Warner'? while the dial hands are also nice and original. The movement is top quality with nicely shaped plates and strikes on a bell. The original bell and well shaped pendulum are present but is missing the pendulum lock holder screw. On the dial near the number 12 there would have been a strike silent lever originally, that is missing. There would have also been a cord which exited through the hole in the side of the case for the 'pull repeat' mechanism. The movement and case are totally original to each other. The movement ticks away without the pendulum attached. It does also run for a while when the pendulum is attached but the suspensions steel is to shorts which could be stopping it from running properly? With a new longer suspension and a good clean and service it should run well.Measures 16.5in tall x 11in wide x 7in deep. Please photos for overall condition.
