Vomit sticks or purging spatulas were usually made from manatee ribs, wood and occasionally stone. They were forced down the throat to induce vomiting prior to taking cohoba. A type of purification. Shell examples are extremely rare. This example features a human in the center with a alligator or crocodile head. The eyes of the reptile are pierced for suspension. It measures 19cm or 7.5".
