The main features of the module are as follows:
(1) The module realizes the DC-DC step-down conversion function, single power supply input, positive and negative power supply output, designed and produced according to the official data manual.
(2) Input DC voltage range: 6V~32v, output DC voltage: ±5V, ±9V, ±12V or ±15V versions are optional, that is, to realize the function of converting the positive voltage of a single power supply into positive and negative voltages. The input voltage must be at least about 1V greater than the output voltage.
According to the official data sheet, the input voltage can reach up to 36V in theory, but it is recommended that the input voltage should not exceed 30V. When the output is under heavy load, it is recommended that the input voltage be greater than 6V. (3) Maximum output current: 3A.
According to the official data sheet, the theoretical value of the output current can reach 3A, but the chip will heat up very seriously, and the output voltage ripple will also increase, so when the power used exceeds 2OW, please add a heat sink to the TPS5430 chip for heat dissipation. Otherwise, the output voltage will be unstable, the output power ripple will become larger, and the chip may even be burned. The default output voltage of the module is ±5V, and the recommended maximum output current is 2A.
(4) Ultra-low output DC voltage ripple: when the input voltage is 12V, when the output is no-load, the ±5V output voltage ripple is lower than 30mvpp; when the output is connected to a 10Ω load, the +5V output voltage terminal has low ripple At 50mVpp, the -5V output voltage ripple is lower than 75mVpp.
(5) Ultra-low load regulation rate: The output load regulation rate is less than 5%.
(6) Module efficiency: the greater the input voltage, the lower the power output efficiency; the power supply efficiency will also become lower as the load becomes smaller; the efficiency of the negative voltage terminal is lower than that of the positive voltage terminal.
