Seller: timerunner56 (891) 100%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 292352126731 Superb Quality Regency Double Fusee English Bracket Clock A superb quality Regency double fusee English striking bracket clock. This early 19th century clock is signed on the dial and on the movement 'D.W Morice, Cornhill, London'. At the top of the repainted arched dial is a 'Strike/Silent' adjuster and has retained its original and finely worked dial hands. This case could be solid mahogany? and is mostly is very good shape but on top of the case looks like it has had a burn (candle burn maybe?), this may well polish out. There is also a small piece of moulding which may be a replacement? The four ball feet are there as are the finely detailed side frets, now with glass instead of silk. Both front and back doors are glazed with locks although the back doors key is present and the front is not. Measures 17in high x 12in wide x 7.25in deep. The 5 shaped movement pillars are there which is a sure sign of quality, as most only had 4. The springs are good while this lovely old movement has retained its original fusee chains. The bell and pendulum have also been retained but the hammer bar has had a repair, while the pendulum holder is retained its missing its retaining screw. This is a nice clean movement but I have not had it running/tested, but all looks good and with a clean and service would probably run. This clock has a 'Pull Repeat' mechanism but requires a silk cord. A top quality antique English fusee bracket clock in good shape for a 200 year old piece.Postal costs refer to UK mainland addressesHappy to answer any questions, either via message or phone ( 07761 432112 ) Terms and ConditionsAll my items are sold for restoration and consequently sold as seen without a guarantee.
