Item:153915778269This is a lovely double fusee bracket or mantel clock from the early 1800's.This has a 7 inch cream dial with wear commensurate with its' age, the twin fusee wire driven movement is marked John Brown, London. I have been unable to photograph the cones, as I cannot get the camera nor a mirror into the case, however, they are in there you can feel them. The clock has three keys; 1.Key for winding.2.Key for the door at the back.3.Key for the bezel which is turned anti-clockwise to open the bezel. Please be careful with this as turning it clockwise to open the bezel could easily break it!There is a switch at 12 O'clock on the dial which turns the chime off, which is handy as it is quite a loud ring. The case seems to be Mahogany veneered and is in good shape it sits on brass bun feet. This is a really good clock in terrific condition given its age and, I think, that it is very good value as these are hard to find now.Age:Antique, Pre-1900, Material:Flame Mahogany, Type:Mantel Clock, Features:watch, Clock Type:Bracket Clock, Style/ Origin/ Theme:English
