 Format    Almost all items are NTSC-J format . This means they require the Japanese systems to play (there are a few exceptions, such as Game Boy).  Please understand this before bidding, and make sure you can use the items you want to buy (and know how to use them; for example analog Famicoms).

 Payment    We accept Pay Pal only . 

 Shipping    We ship worldwide  anywhere and everywhere! Prices may vary by region, size & weight of the items being sold:

Economy Shipping  (FREE!!!) -  Surface Air Lifted - no tracking # or insurance; shipping time varies greatly from about 1 to 2 months

Standard Shipping*  -  Airmail - no tracking # or insurance, shipping time averages around 2 weeks (price will vary depending on the item)

Expedited Shipping*  -  "EMS" - tracking & insurance included, takes about a week  or less to arrive (price will vary depending on the item)

About our store, policies, and further details

 General     The Japanese Retro Game Center is an eBay store for all things Japanese (in particular retro games but we have other items as well such as DVDs CDs, toys & other Japanese collectibles). The store is managed & run by a native English speaker living in Japan - so you will never have to worry about any descriptions or communications being lost in translation. We love retro gaming , and want to give fans and collectors around the world the chance to own some great pieces of video gaming history from the source!

 Pictures     We never use stock photos!!!  We always take more than one picture to show you more detail and everything you need to see about what you want to buy!  The only time the picture may not be exact is if we have a multiple quantity listing, where the items are similar enough to use the same picture. Each auction is only for what you see in the pictures .  Please check them before bidding or buying.

 Condition     All items have been tested and work unless noted in our descriptions or conditions.  For battery backed-up games we cannot guarantee the battery . Almost all items in our store are used  and we use the following scale to help provide a more detailed item description:

A  = Great condition: no major flaws with only slight markings from normal use on these item(s).

B  = May have noticeable marks, scratches, labels slightly torn, names marked, etc. on these item(s).

C  = Has fairly significant marks, scratches, etc. on these item(s). Pictures will show more detail.

Untested  = Did not test these item(s).          Junk  = Does not work or only partially works; As is.

 Handling Time & Holidays    When your item is shipped it will be marked as such on eBay. We handle everything within one business day of receiving payment.  Please be aware of the time difference between Japan and your location. Non-business days (for shipping) include Saturday, Sunday, and Japanese National Holidays.  We should be able to answer any questions and handle all other matters at any time!

 Shipping     We ship using Japan Post.   In our listings, Economy Shipping (no tracking # or insurance) will be the default setting. If you would like a tracking number, please choose Expedited Shipping.   We will not be held responsible for any cases regarding slow or lost items ("I have not received my item") if you choose to not have a tracking number (We can only attach a tracking number with Expedited Shipping).   If you cannot select your desired method of shipping, send us a request for an invoice (we will send one if you do not pay immediately). 

Expedited Shipping  is the best method, as it guarantees quick delivery with tracking.  Delivery takes about 5 business days. We recommend this shipping for a safe and fast delivery. Tracking can be checked on the Japan Post website.

Standard Shipping  is basic Airmail which normally takes about 2 weeks, but may arrive faster and in rare cases slower. There is no tracking number or insurance with this service.

Economy Shipping  - called Surface Air Lifted - means that it is shipped like Airmail in between Japan and your home country but will shipped like ground mail in both Japan and your home country. This means that while sometimes delivery may be very quick it could take as long as 2 months to arrive. There is no tracking number or insurance with Economy Shipping. Shipping time will vary from the eBay estimated delivery guidelines because we are shipping from Japan, not from the US.

If ebay says that we do not ship to your location, send us a message and we can fix the problem.

Any customs charges & fees will be the responsibility of the Buyer.

 Combined shipping     Almost all of our items will have free Economy shipping, but if you buy multiple items and would like Standard or Expedited shipping we can offer combined shipping on those items. Please send us a message if you have any questions.

 Feedback     We always give positive feedback once payment has cleared! Please send us a message before giving neutral or negative feedback (or low detailed seller ratings) so we can work out any problems or questions first.  We always want to improve our products and services, so we are also open to any suggestions and comments as well!

 Refunds     We will accept refunds within 14 days of receiving the item.  Buyer is responsible for shipping the item back. Please send us a message if you believe there is a problem with your item(s).
