Solid European Oak Flooring Priced per M2 As one of the very few oak sawmills operating in the UK we are very pleased to introduce this beautiful, characterful low cost flooring to the market. Please don't confuse our oak floorboards with cheap and nasty mass produced flooring. It is made to order and beautifully machined from solid oak.  The reason for the low cost is simply cutting out the middle man.  These quality floorboards are produced straight from the tree in Northamptonshire. The oak trees arrive on site, they are broken down into various products such as oak beams, oak planking, oak sleepers etc. The boards from around the outside of that production are then sticked, air dried for several months before being placed into one of our on-site kilns that are fired by solar energy and a biomass boiler. There are no more environmentally friendly oak floorboards in the UK.  Our flooring is even offered without rear stress relief grooves to enable their use in door and two sided panel manufacture, no grooves can be selected in the drop down if that is desired.  The floorboards are wrapped and treated very carefully and usually delivered by one of our own drivers on one of our fleet of vehicles.  Many other widths and thicknesses right up to our Prestige 22mm range can be found in our other ebay listings.  You will find matching skirting, architrave, door lining kits etc in our ebay shop. 

Designed to create a clean and elegant finish to your home or commercial property 16mm deep Solid European Oak Flooring is a high quality product using solid European Oak in mixed grades ranging from character through to prime. 

These oak floorboards can be machined to various widths from 105mm up to 150mm and come in random lengths from 500mm to 3000mm and are kiln dried to approximately 8-12% moisture content.

Our Oak floorboards are supplied in a tongue and groove all round profile with micro-bevelled edges and will be fully ends matched at no extra cost (this is an additional machining process whereby a matching tongue and groove is applied to the ends of the boards) to create a seamless finish to your hardwood flooring and allows the flooring to be joined anywhere not just over a joist which saves huge amounts of cutting and waste. These floorboards will be supplied planed smooth but unfinished, ready for you to add a finish of your choice if required.

Please remember that the longer you leave these boards to acclimatise to their new surroundings, the less prone to movement the boards will be when fitted. These boards are machined from a natural product, therefore as the temperature and humidity varies throughout the year, it should be expected that your boards may move slightly as the boards' contract and expand.

Two grades can be selected using the dropdown, Prime and Character. The grading rules are listed below:

• Prime (A/B grade): Aside from the rarely used Select grade, this is the highest grade of oak flooring. It has very few imperfections, such as knots, sapwood, and colour variation. Prime oak flooring is often used where a clean, contemporary look is desired. New builds, high end apartments and the like.
  • Knots: No knots larger than 25mm in diameter.
  • Sapwood: No more than 20% of the board face can be sapwood.
  • Colour variation: Minimal colour variation.
  • Checking/small splits: Minimal checking allowed.
• Character grade: This grade of oak flooring allows for more natural imperfections - we like to call them character, such as larger knots, sapwood, and colour variation. Character oak flooring can give a more rustic or traditional look to a room while also adding to the intrigue within each individual board.
  • Knots: Knots up to 50mm inches in diameter are allowed - either sound or open. Knots can be filled if that option is selected from the drop-down box when placing your order. The filler used will attempt to match as closely as possible the surrounding colour yet cannot be guaranteed and should be viewed as an extra piece of character rather than a flaw.
  • Sapwood: Up to 30% of the board face can be sapwood.
  • Colour variation: Some colour variation is allowed.
  • Checking/small splits: Allowed in small amounts, limited to those of a size where filling is not required.

Shipping Information

Delivery for this product is made via our own delivery vehicles or pallet courier. Our estimated dispatch time is up to 10 working days with a 3 to 5 working days delivery time, however, in high seasonal demand this can change to up to 15 working days, we will do our best to notify you of any delays.

We can also offer a *Next Working Day delivery service for an additonal £20 (option available at checkout) which will means your order will be delivered the following working day at dispatch. Please note that the 10 working day dispatch time is still applid, although we will do our best to get your order out to you as soon as possible.

We can also offer collection from our Corby, Northamptonshire depot and will notify you when your order is ready to collect.

Please ensure you provide a valid contact number (preferably a mobile number) in which we can pass onto the courier for delivery. If the courier is unable to contact you and unable to deliver, possible charges will be applied for delivery.

Please be aware that these pallets may be delivered by courier and most (may change depending on circumstance) pallets over under 750kg will be delivered by a 7.5 tonne vehicle and all pallets over 750kg will be delivered on a larger 18/26 tonne vehicle, so please make sure you are able to accommodate and accept deliveries using these vehicles. If we are unable to deliver your order it will be returned to our depot and we will be in contact to arrange an alternative method or cancellation of the order where additional charges may apply.

This courier service is a kerbside drop only and the delivery driver will not offload into a property, therefore once delivery has been accepted it is the customers responsibility to move any product(s) from the kerb. Access to sites must be on solid pathing or roads, we are unable to deliver on loose surfaces such as gravel or grass.
