Item:273427609595On offer is an eight day floating balance clock movement. This is typical of the clocks manufactured during the 1960s by Smiths Industries of England. The movement measures about 4.25 inches x 5.00 inches x 3.25 inches from the tip of the minute hand to the rear of the striking hammer and the distance between the winding squares is 2.25 inches. The clock has an hour strike with one on the half hour. The clock is not working and is sold as 'spares or repairs' but both barrels wind, indicating that the mainsprings are intact, and the strike trips through and stops as it should. It would probably be ok if it was stripped and overhauled, but would also be a useful source of spares for a similar clock. This clock movement is on offer without gong, hands or key, and is the actual movement shown in the photographs.. Condition and description can better be judged from the photographs. Priced to sell without reserve. Please see the other items which I have on offer for sale. 1.
