Seller: Top-Rated Seller shiresantiques (1.727) 100%, Location: Northampton, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 273933713778 Rare and unusual ebony hard wood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane.The ball top is made of platted silver strands to replicate a basket weave pattern.Rare to fine these in tact as they are delicate and easily damaged.Initials CB engraved to the top. The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1922and makers mark for HJ Cooper & Co, Thavies Inn, Holburn.It measures 91 cm 35 3/4 inches in length, the pommel is 4.2 cm 1 5/8 inches wide. The ferrule is original and made of brass. It's in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. Some minor movement to the silver strand and a couple of surface dinks as shown.Exceptional condition for this type of silver work.Very slight bow in the ebony shaft but no breaks or repairs.Please contact us with any questions you may have.
