Seller: timeline-ceramics ✉️ (379) 100%, Location: Northamptonshire, GB, Ships to: EUROPE & many other countries, Item: 182532633517 Rare Vintage Set of 10 Trios China Cups Saucers Plates Jug + Bowl TUSCAN c1907. ********************* Absolutely Stunning Vintage Charm******************************* Offered for sale ~ A 10 trio set of "Tuscan" fine china, Pattern 7331 (cups, saucers and side plates). Complete with milk jug and bowl. Rare and in remarkably good condition. A practical design which suits everyday tableware use, or for special occasion functions such as garden parties, weddings or high tea. "Tuscan" was the trading name of RH and SL Plant, manufacturers at Longton, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. The backstamp / mark dates the set to +1907 - 1920. The pattern features gold rims and trim to the cup handles, a scrolled coffee coloured border edge which gives a  lace type effect when viewed from a distance.   Would enhance a lace tablecloth setting extremely well.  There are pink roses and violets / forget me nots overpainted around the inner borders, which also feature a tiny hand painted green flower.   The side plates are 7 inches across. The teacups are simple footed shape with an inner rim design and an embossed gold stripe to the animal tail type handle which we seem to have missed in the photographs.. Please read the condition report and see photographs. An extra plate is supplied - not included in our valuation - this has been restored and is riveted together.  Shown photographed from the top angle - the rivets are underneath.

  • Condition: Overall each trio is in good condition. Due to age and production methods at the time there is peppering and some pitting to the glaze. In detail the condition is as follows, as seen on close inspection : The bowl has a fine hairline (photographed). 1 cup is crazed on the outside on very close inspection. 2 cups are not backstamped. All 10 saucers are backstamped. 2 of the 10 plates are not backstamped. Plate 11 has been riveted and is supplied but not included in the valuation. Jug bears no mark and the bowl has a good clear backstamp. The edges are brightly gilded, show some light rub on cup handles. A fine set of china, suitable for use as either every day or special occasion tableware.
