This is a super rare old English beer sign. It reads "IND COOPE Established 1856 at Burton on Trent". It measures roughly 22.25" tall x 11.75" wide, and is roughly 1.75" thick. It's solid and weights a little over 13 lbs.  The frame is heavy metal and is painted black (appears to be original paint). The metal frame's black paint is peeling and has paint loss throughout. The glass front of the sign is fully intact and has no breaks or chips. There's a bit of dust and grime in the corners where the glass meets the metal frame, and also behind the glass inside the sign near the edges. The sign is glass front with green and gold 3D graphics that sit behind the glass. It appears that the green is painted on the reverse side of the glass. The hand and the upper letters are three dimensional/embossed. I'm not sure what material the green and gold graphics are made of - possibly a hard foam of some sort. Looking at the back, there's brown paper covering the back, which appears to be later than original. There's a hole at the top of the brown paper near the wire and you can see a foam material. The inner sign wiggles slightly - it basically is floating inside the metal frame and is held in place by the backing, but still moves slightly if the sign is turned on its back.  This is a rare sign. I've never seen another one like it. I read online that Samuel Allsopp & Sons of Burton upon Trent merged with Ind Coope in 1935. Based on this and based on the look and style of the sign, I'm thinking it's from the 1930's or earlier.  Shipping via USPS Priority Thanks
