STUNNING ORIGINAL GEO. IV BURR WALNUT / YEW CROSSBANDING

FULLY FITTED TEA CADDY with KEY - 1820' - 30's

This is a beautiful, genuine, original (doesn't look to have been too 'got at' - see condition report below) George IV (1820 - 1830) Burr Walnut with fine Yew crossbanding fully fitted  tea caddy. Veneered in lovely Burr Walnut and in the mentioned Yew banding it is presented in a rectangular box form. While the interior has two lidded removable compartments (look to be made of solid Mahogany - good sign of quality) and a fine very heavy (both in weight and depth of cut) cut glass mixing bowl with wheel engraved starburst to its base and still retains its locking key.     It measures 12 1/4" (31 cm) L x 6 1/4" (16 cm) H x 6" (15.5 cm) D approx.; and is in really excellent condition for a piece of its type and age, and the only minor blemish I can find is a very small, shallow dent to the leading lid edge  - all can be seen in the photographs and details, apart from this it has light wear consummate with its age.     This is a stunning high quality period caddy box, and in lovely condition which I’m sure will have a good deal of interest from all collectors. * Overseas customers please take note : the weight (or size) of the item is well over the 2kg small parcel limit, therefore the shipping cost is a guide line only and will depend on the destination country. Therefore the international shipping is an estimate, albeit a relatively accurate one (the item has been weighed with a suitable box and the price quotation taken from the net, however there may be a small variation in price depending on the destination). I have taken Germany as the European destination and the USA as the world #1, and Japan as the world #2 zones, however if you live in say, Australia or the far East, or one of the new members of the E.U. the cost may be a few pounds more - so please wait for your invoice before payment. ** THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS SALE *** INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE SHIPPING PRICES QUOTED IN MOST CASES (SEE BELOW) TERMS & CONDITIONS Please read this as it's designed to make transactions with my customers as simple and transparent as possible. SHIPPING P&P costs will be confirmed via invoice on purchase. *** please note that I always send an invoice at the end of an auction so will international buyers please wait for this invoice before making payment. All items will be forwarded (nationally) special delivery post only and (internationally) insured express (tracked & signed for) post. All consignments exceeding 2kg will be shipped via courier (usually ups), with  a four day minimum dispatch time national & international, and five days for items via courier, but in reality I usually ship within two working days after cleared payment. The shipping cost includes a small packaging and handling charge and therefore does not reflect postage alone. RETURNS Returns are accepted within 14 days with the return shipping cost at the buyer's expense. Almost everything I sell is in the condition I have bought it, unless otherwise stated, (I have learnt to my cost in the past not to tamper with an item), and therefore I have neither had items repaired nor restored. I will endeavour to report on an item which has had either; however I take no responsibility if an item has been tampered with and I cannot detect it. OVERSEAS BUYERS As different countries have different import laws and regulations it is incumbent upon the buyer to know what these are in relation to what they are bidding on. Almost all items I sell are antique unless otherwise stated and therefore well within the import requirements of this country, but maybe a grey area elsewhere, so please take note no responsibility will be taken if a problem with customs occurs. AUCTION FORMAT Items listed in an auction format are just that and not subject to 'buy-it-now' enquiries however I am willing to listen to any offer which are substantially over the start price. Please don't waste your time asking for a b.i.n. on an auction item as you may be offended by no reply. PAYMENT Payment must be made within 3 days from the end of the sale / or a buy-it-now sale failure to do so will mean the item will be offered to the under bidder and a report to eBay. I can accept payment via PayPal, cheques drawn on UK banks or UK postal orders - I can accept other forms of payment please contact me to find out which. I will dispatch goods on clearance of any of the above. Overseas buyer's payment via PayPal only (or other to be agreed). I do not accept - non UK. cheques, non UK. money orders (other than that listed above), so please don't ask. MISCELLANY A buyer with less that 10 feedbacks please contact me before placing a bid. All parcels are well packed and protected with strong boxes, bubble wrap and packaging peanuts where necessary Please only bid if you accept the above terms and conditions. so please read them carefully as they are binding. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need additional information. GOOD LUCK
