The Audio Grail Lithe power cable specifically designed for use with the Garrard 301. Its name is derived from the cable’s supple lightweight nature. Whilst there is significant debate regarding cables in general, the purpose of the Lithe cable is best evidenced in this excerpt from the Original Garrard Factory Manual.
The issue with the suspended motor of the 301 is that heavy or stiff power cables will either pull or push the motor. This noted misalignment will cause the idler wheel to contact and wear unevenly and degrade the motor and idler housing bushes faster. There are many elements that suffer due to misalignment and the result is always Rumble and noise.

The Lithe Cable as the name suggests is extremely supple and light. The turntable end of the cable is furnished with x2 eye connectors for the power and x1 spade for the ground nut. To our knowledge this is the first cable to be offered with specific connections for the 301. The alternate end is left as bare wire to allow the fitting of your preferred plug / IEC suited to your country.
The 1.5M Lithe cable is made from specially tinned copper hand made in the UK then sheathed in cotton for damping and aesthetics.
