My Grandfather who was born in 1881 made a collection of prints from the London Illustrated News, Boys Own and other publications featuring Native Americans and bound them together in a book. I should imagine he did this as a teenager making them over 100 years old This auction is for one page which features 2 prints of illustrations The larger one has the storyline ''A yell, blood curdling and horrible; a wild rush of dark painted braves; the crack crack of the hunter's rifles and then the devoted pair were fighting hand to hand ...' The smaller one at the top is entitled 'Juan Jose once a great fighter now a man of peace' and google tells me is by Frank Rinehart. My grandfather has drawn a border o it in pen The larger one measure approx 15 cm by 13 cm and they are mounted on a larger piece of paper as shown Please note, I have shown the whole book in the last three photos for context but the auction is for just one page
