Item:153636603401Large Period French Art Deco Modernist Pendulum Clock, with Light Garnitures 1933 by F Martin. A fabulous fully working large rare period Art Deco clock, which combines the great elements of a Modernist design: using copper tubes with silver banding, glass, black&white/butterscotch marble yet still represents that classic French pendulum clock. This very unusual and impressive piece depicts in the clearest way how the French were working on combining the classic European design skills integrated with the new modernist direction. The clock face has raised numbers and hour markers in copper and notice the hanging pendulum how it mirrors the copper tube with silver details. This is a substantial piece, stands tall and would look great on your mantle, buffet or Art Deco archway. The main clock measurements: 33 cm H x 41 cm W x 12 cm T and the light garnitures 21 cm H x 26.5 cm W x 9.5 cm T each. The original two light garnitures are super rare (cannot find any others on the internet) and have been professionally rewired. There is also a long solid silver plaque/plate on top, which is not been engraved. Please follow the link below to see the crazy price I found online ($6,950) and that was without the super rare light garnitures! https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/decorative-objects/clocks/mantel-clocks/french-art-deco-f-martin-marble-mantel-clock-circa-1930s/id-f9143391/ Here is also a grey and chrome version, that I found online, at the Modernism Gallery in Florida, again without the light garnitures. I added a photo showing the clock with a mug in front, so you can gauge its size. My packaging prices include insurance and for being professionally boxed for transportation.Condition:Excellent condition, with little ware and all comparable with age., Age:1900-1940, Material:Butterscotch Marble, Type:Clock, Original/Repro:Original, Featured Refinements:Art Deco Light
