This book is the ultimate celebration of the Golden Age of the Scottish Pub (1880-1910) when licensed premises were made to conform to the late Victorian Standards of beauty and utility with elaborate wrought-iron signs, stained glass windows and resplendent gas lamps. The best architects made a speciality of classic pub design and the best craftsmen were used to carry out their strikingly effective schemes.
