Seller: timerunner56 (949) 100%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 293146159459 Nice German Striking Vienna Wall ClockA good quality German? Vienna wall clock which has a good spring driven movement with a count wheel escapement. The springs are good and fully wound and when the hands are manually rotated it strikes as it should. I cannot see a makers mark though. The pallets are good on this movement which is not working and hasn't run for many years, but with a good clean and service it should work. The movement is original to the case along with the original pendulum and beat plaque. The enamel dial, beat plaque and pendulum are all in very good condition and the hands are nicely shaped and original. The hammer is present but detached while the gong is present. The case is very nice with what appears to be walnut veneer? The edges and pillars are ebonised. It does require a top and finials while the front door has had its hinges moved at some point (Original hinge has pulled off a piece of wood, presumably why it was replaced. see photos). The joints have old repair. So a good late 19th century spring Vienna clock sold as seen, not working for restoration/parts with no guarantees or returns.
