Seller: timerunner56 (818) 100%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 292206229591 Nice French Striking Mahogany Lancet Mantle ClockA lovely quality French gong striking clock with a movement by 'Jules Rolez Limited Of Paris'. This well made French clock has the numbers '12509' and 'No 56' stamped on the movement, the latter of which may be the pendulum size? Strikes once at half past the hour then strikes five at five o'clock, six at six o'clock etc. The springs are good and it is ticking away. The dial is nice but does have some very fine hairline cracks (see photos). The centre of the dial has beautiful engine turned decoration while the 'moon' hands are very fine. This item comes with convex glass which is also bevelled, a true sign of quality. The mahogany veneered case has very fine inlays and has a shell decoration on the front. Probably dates from the Edwardian period and is in very good shape for a 100 year old piece. It is ticking but not working or tested so is offered as seen for restoration/repair/parts.Happy to answer any questions, either via message or phone ( 07761 432112 ) Terms and ConditionsAll my items are sold for restoration and consequently sold as seen without a guarantee.
