Seller: timerunner56 (949) 100%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 293204924671 Nice French Ormolu 8 Day Mantle ClockA very nicely cast French ormolu, gilt brass/bronze (not spelter) 8 day mantle clock. Dating probably from the late 19th century? it has the figure of a musician with a set of bagpipes and a flute. This clock has been in storage for many years, perhaps 50/60 years so is very dirty and needs a good clean/service etc (please view the photos to see what is included and in what condition).Measures 9.75in high x 12in wide x 3.5in deep, the 8 day movement strikes on a bell and is signed 'Vincenti' a good french maker. The enamel dial has hairline cracks and the tip of the minute hand is missing. When the hands are manually rotated they move as they should and is striking well. Both springs are good and fully wound and is ticking away well. However it hasn't been tested for accuracy so sold as seen not working for restoration/parts with no guarantee or return. It is a clock that should restore well and will look superb when complete. A winding key and pendulum is included which may not be original.Happy to answer any questions, either via message or phone ( 07761 432112 ) Terms and ConditionsAll my items are sold for restoration and consequently sold as seen without a guarantee.
