It has a very nice enamel dial which is in excellent condition and has its original hands. The case has a cherub figure on top painting? A small hole on top to fix it to, and another in his hand to lock it? To his side is a pot with paintbrushes. The case is made of gilt brass or bronze ormolu and gilt metal. The front piece with shell scrolls is brass.This piece is in very nice shape for a clock over 100 years old (please see photos to see for yourself).This 8 day french movement is signed 'La Fontaine A Paris' and is stamped 'Japy freres'. The movement is not running but would with a clean and service while the springs are good and fully wound. If you also release the count wheel it strikes. If you manually move the dial hands around it also strikes as it should. Measures 11in tall x 11in wide x 6in deep. Excellent antique clock that is original and sold for restoration/parts only with no guarantee or returns. Terrific little project and priced to sell.
