Seller: timerunner56 (931) 100%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 293160900084 Nice French Bell Striking Marble Mantle Clock A nicely shaped french bell striking marble or black slate mantle clock. The clock is in very nice condition considering its over 100 years old. There are a few edging nibbles and a slight mark on top all consistent with age and use. It may have had an urn or figure on top? The front of the clock has a engraved design in good shape. The bezel is good and clicks shut well, and has nice thick bevelled glass. The enamel dial does have some fine hairline cracks between 6 & 7 while the hands are moon shaped and look original. The french 8 day movement has a count wheel escapement and is signed 'Vincenti' who was a top French maker of the period. The pendulum and movement have the same number '587' on them so are totally original to each other. The two springs are good and fully wound. The clock is ticking away well without the pendulum attached but has not been tested so will require a full clean and service. It is sold as seen for restoration only with no guarantees or returns. Measures 8.5in high x 11in wide x 5.5in deep approx and comes with a pendulum bell and key. A nice original piece ideal for restoration.Happy to answer any questions, either via message or phone ( 07761 432112 ) Terms and ConditionsAll my items are sold for restoration and consequently sold as seen without a guarantee.
