Seller: timerunner56 (949) 100%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 293243114061 Nice French 19th Century Brass Bell Striking 8 Day Mantle ClockWell cast French 19th century 8 day mantle clock in a nice brass case with lots of decoration. The front feet appear to from a lion? The bezel is good with bevelled glass (few minor scratches) which are very good. The dial is great with brass filigree centre and Gothic style numbers and markers. The case should clean up very well. This 8 day count wheel escapement movement is signed 'Japy frere' and has the number '504 56' the same as on the pendulum so all is original. The two springs are good and fully wound and the clock ticks away well but not tested with the pendulum for accuracy or how long it runs for. The clock will require a full clean and service to work well, consequently this item is sold as seen, not working for restoration only with no return. With a good clean and service the clock should run well. Measures 13.5in tall x 7.5in wide x 3.5in deep and bell and pendulum are included. A very nice original French brass mantle clock ideal for restoration and displays beautifully.Postal costs refer to UK mainland addressesHappy to answer any questions, either via message or phone ( 07761 432112 ) Terms and ConditionsAll my items are sold for restoration and consequently sold as seen without a guarantee.
