National Geographic Magazine Collections - 1954 - 1998 This auction is for my late grandpa's beloved National Geographic magazine collection and it would bring me immense satisfaction to ensure it ends up in the possession of another collector of this incredible series. The lot is broken up into year groups of 12 magazines (where complete) and there are substantial multi-buy discounts for buyers who buy multiple sets at one time. As an almost-complete National Geographic Magazine collection between the years 1954 and 1998, this is a true piece of publication history in excellent collection considering the age. This collection contains over 500 issues spanning 45 years.   There are 19 issues missing and one duplicate for a total of 510 magazines. The vast majority of supplements, maps etc... appear to be present and I have taken care to ensure these have been returned to the correct magazines when they have fallen out, however, I cannot be 100% sure every issue has its full complement of additional material. The magazines have been bundled in 10's by decade, bound with ribbon to keep them together and will be provided in boxes for easy transportation. N.B. Each year is being sold as a lot and will not be broken down to individual issues and supplementary material will not be checked and / or sold separately. Sold as seen - no returns.   Local pickup from Leeds, LS25 area is preferable due to size / weight of magazines (approximately 5kg per year collection of 12 magazines), however, I've added a Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed for service which covers postage and packaging costs.
