Nomex is also inherently flame retardant. This means the garment will remain flame retardant for the life of the garment and will not wash out like treated cotton. Description This jacket offers an amazing level of flame retardancy with the added bonus of thermal protection, so being able to weld or work in cold conditions is not such as issue. Important If you weld in this jacket, you will need to protect the front from weld splatter as molten can damage the material and zip. Please note that this jacket is NOT waterproof.
