Item:381759521503Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a beautiful antique Japanese Meiji Period Imari 6" scalloped edge bowl. The interior design features four colorful hand painted sections around the upper border with a wide colorful multi-design band surrounding an elaborately decorated center medallion. Enamel colors are in shades of rust and blue. The exterior of the bowl is decorated with alternating designs in cobalt and rust that encircle the body. There are three blue rings that surround the foot ring. The recessed bottom is unglazed except for a small glazed center that contains an unidentified four-letter calligraphy mark inside. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is minor roughness around the bottom of the foot ring that occurred during the firing process.Measures 2" high, 5" in diameter with a 2 3/4" base.
