Stunning natural vivid blue violet Tanzanite gem.
0.76 carat stone so a good size with fine vivid colour.


This gem has a very nice deep violetish blue colour with excellent clarity. Top grade stone.


It also has an excellent round cut to show great shine and colour, lots of sparkle!

Tanzanite is a rare gem which is only found in a small area of only a few kilometres in the Mererani hills near Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

It has not been found anywhere else in the world and the chances of other mines being discovered is very unlikely. A rare single source gemstone which is said to be hundreds of times rarer than diamonds!

There are only 4 mines operating here at the moment and supply will not be able to keep up with demand forever.

Tanzanite comes out the ground a brownish yellowish colour and requires heat treatment to bring out the bluish violet hues.

All blue or violet tanzanite on the market will have been heat treated. Many sellers do not even disclose this treatment because it is so routinely done.
