Miniature Metal Box with Working Brass Padlock of WW2 Shrapnel plus others On offer here is a Small Metal Box in Army green colour fitted with hasp and an early small miniature Brass Padlock. Inside the box is a small collection of five pieces of Shrapnel , a metal cap marked 'Remove Before Firing no 1521', and a  small calibre brass bullet casing, all dating WW2   The box measure 3 by 2 1/4 by 1 1/2 inches high, army green in colour with the initials F G on the lid  and F. Gibson on the base.  The miniature working brass padlock looks to date from an earlier period, meaner 7/8 of an inch high and 9/16 wide and a 1/4 of an inch thick. The padlock is opened by pivoting then of the brass plates that look like keyhole covers.
