Item:153697146182MINIATURE CARRIAGE CLOCK fine antique from Howell James & Co. Click images to enlarge Description A very fine miniature carriage clock which was originally retailed by Howell James & co., Regent Street, London - slightly worn mark on the dial. This jewellers operated from 1819-1911 and I would date this little clock around 1880. Both the mechanism and case are stamped 900 whilst the stamp on the back of the mechanism has an indistinct makers stamp too. The 8 day clock keeps good time and has its original silvered lever platform escapement. Though running quite strongly the clock will abruptly stop from time to time and I recommend it is serviced. Includes a suitable double-ended winding key. This cracking miniature is offered for sale by AUCTION with NO RESERVE so grab a rare bargain! See my other items for more similar. This tiny clock weighs 330g before wrapping and measures approximately 3.75" (95mm) in height. Will mail WORLDWIDE - £16 EUROPE & £20 to ALL other destinations (tracked/signed).
