Here we have a wonderful, quality antique coopered oak plant pot. Though unmarked, I believe this was made by renown makers R.A. Lister & Co Ltd of Dursley, England around 1900. Sir Robert Ashton Lister operated between 1867-1906. In 1899 he acquired the rights to manufacture Danish engineer Mikael Pedersen's "The Alexandra" cream separator. By the early 1900's Lister had redesigned Pedersen's cream separator and produced wares such as this planter from offcuts! A very astute man!! This beautiful example has lovely patinated brass bands giving it a very grand look. It's a gorgeous example in a lovely condition. It measures approximately 9.75 inches by 7 inches weighing approximately 1.25kgs. A perfect addition to any luxurious entrance. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
