Item:264394619378A beautifully made large late 19th/early 20th century Edwardian Sheraton Revival style mahogany writing slope. The top has an attractive book-matched mahogany veneer with a chequer line inlay around the edges and a central oval inlaid cartouche. Inside is a green baize covered writing slope and two brass lidded ink bottles which have a screw shut mechanism with a pen tray between them. A brass stay holds the lid up. The box stands on brass ogee shaped feet. This writing slope is in very good condition with only very minor signs of use and has small screw holes on either side of the base below the writing surface as shown in the photographs. No key.
