Item:223509856276This auction is for a REPRODUCTION of a Japanese wood block print Titled "TAKAGI TORANOSUKE CAPTURING A KAPPA UNDERWATER IN THE TAMURA RIVER". The original was made in 1834-1835 during the Edo period by Utangawa Kuniyoshi. He lived from 1798 to 1861. This is a limited Edition and is 14 Of 100 made. I purchased it a few years ago for some museum charity event. This reproduction actually uses wood fiber for the print to get an actual feel for what the original print was like. This print measures 23 3/4 inches long by 17 3/4 inches wide. I never had it framed or displayed and that's a shame as it is a very striking picture. It always been stored in acid free sleeve and rolled up and kept in a tube. The colors on the print are very vibrant and un-faded.The very first picture shows large black rectangles in the corners. These are to hold the picture flat so I could photograph it. They are not part of the auction and only used for taking the pictures.Shipping will be by 1st class mail both for the USA and internationally. Thanks for looking.Primary Material:Wood, Age:Post-1940, Original/Reproduction:Vintage Reproduction, Color:Multi-Color, Maker:Reproduction
