J. Marcario Concert 145
Classical Guitar
From
the Atelier Classique / Workshop in France
I’ve been collecting classical and archtop guitars for several years. I’ve had this one a while and hardly played it an hour. I just have too many guitars to play them all. Many I buy as an investment. Periodically I select one of the best I don’t regularly play and pass it forward to someone who is serious about adopting a fine instrument.
This one has about an hour of play on it. It has NO signs of use on any part of it. It is basically NEW.
It sounds beautiful with a very nice balanced sound. The bass strings are deep, the trebles clear and bright, and the mid-tones vibrant—all combining for excellent projection.
It comes with the case pictured.
Specs : full scale 650 mm guitar, 52mm across the nut, 62mm at the 12th fret; strings are 4mm at the 12th fret (with room to lower if you wish to make the action faster.)
It is hand-made with a solid Canadian Cedar top and solid Indian Rosewood back and sides.
The wood is truly beautiful, with stunning grain figuring. My camera can’t capture the rich loveliness of the wood; the finish has greater depth than the photographs show. The wood purfling and rosette are exquisite. All of the above features are topped off by a lovely deep high gloss finish.
The tight grain solid Canadian Cedar top accounts in part for the guitars amazing projection, warm tone, a voice clarity.
It has an Ebony Fretboard, bone nut and saddle, with a Rosewood heel cap, bridge, and head piece. The neck also has an Ebony reinforcing strip in the back.
