This is a vintage Hornsea Pottery 'Girl' Muramic Wall Plaque by the designer John Clappison. It is 8" square.
It was manufactured in England during the time period 1971/1972.
It shows a stylised ceramic image in terracotta-coloured clay with some grey patterning printed on it, of a girl with big hair decorated with red and orange shiny ceramic 'buttons'. The girl has shiny black eyes. The image is mounted onto a wooden backing in a wooden frame.
It still has its original Hornsea Pottery Muramic silver adhesive label on the back.
It is in excellent condition.
The wall plaque was received by my family as a gift in the mid-1980s. It was on display in our home for many years until it was packed away for a house move. It has not been used since then so I would love it to go to another home where it will be loved and enjoyed again.
Like all the items I sell this comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home.
