Beautiful Rosewood Tea Caddy, complete with original interior.

Ornate fabric lining of lid is in very good condition, as are the two tea boxes with hinged lids. The cut glass bowl has a crack towards it's base, but is otherwise undamaged.

The outer case is in very nice condition, but there are one or two very small repairs required to the boxwood line. The damage was clearly done long ago, and not obvious. There is also a small piece of damage to the opening edge of the case to one side of the lock, where it appears that the lid may have been prised open. There is no other damage caused by this action. The lock is in place. The escutcheon is missing. This may have been either boxwood or bone originally.

The ring handles at either end appear original, and are very nice quality. One of the rings has been cracked and repaired at some time. The bun feet are also finely turned and polished.

This item has been in the family for a very long time, but sadly I cannot house it, so an appreciative home is needed.
