This auction is for an Art Deco French marble desk set made up of pen stand with ink well, blotter and letter rack.  They are made from a beautiful veined marble and the whole ensemble is in very good condition.  The oval pen stand has no dings or chips that I can see (but look carefully at the photographs please!) and the ink well contains both of its delicate glass inserts.  The blotter has a very small chip which I've show in the photographs.  The top and handle of the blotter are marble but the part that the blotting paper goes round is ebonised (black painted) wood.  The letter rack has no chips that I can see but the metal parts are slightly tarnished (I haven't tried cleaning them).
