Fantastic Four #50, CGC FVF 7.0, May 1966
Classic Variant, what a beauty! Near perfect Off White to White pages. Lovely straight spine, no cover wraparound so in the first batch of original printing back then which means brighter, fresher inks and cover colours. This is the 3rd Highest Graded UK Variant of this classic comic book with the 1st full Silver Surfer cover. Only 30 UK Variants have been listed in 22 years of CGC. About 1,000 UK Variants were sent to the UK at the time in 1966. Very few have survived. This comic that has been in my collection since the early 1970s and only just graded by CGC so brand new to market. Treat yourself to this great investment piece.
3rd appearance of the Surfer, 2nd appearance of Galactus and 1st appearance of Wyatt Wingfoot.
One of the great covers of the period, the conclusion to the Galactus trilogy where the Silver Surfer turns against his master and battles Galactus with the Fantastic Four at his side. And just such a great cover and interior art by the legendary Jack Kirby.
